ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Two years after the last conference organized by COAPE Polska and COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists  and Trainers  we are pleased to announce the upcoming edition of the conference, with the intention of arranging it in this format every two years.

It is an overview of the latest knowledge and practice in the fields of companion animal behavior therapy and behavioral science. This time, we will focus on emotions and emotionality of animals, recognizing that these mental processes are the most important in the regulation of behavior, and that they can be modified at different levels as the key factor in animal therapy and training.

We will emphasize two aspects of animal emotionality - the importance of emotional well-being (mood) and the problems associated with emotions of fear and anger, which generate the most behavioral problems.

We are committed to holding the biennial conference with a leading theme and a longer speech by a special guest, as well as presentations on this topic by Polish animal behaviorists, veterinarians, and animal behavior researchers.

In our opinion, the achievements and work of Polish animal behaviorists and trainers, as well as veterinarians interested in companion animal behavior therapy, in recent years, are impressive and stand out from the achievements of similar specialists in other European countries.

We have ambitions for our conference to become one of the most prominent conferences on behavior, behavior therapy and animal training in Europe and in our cultural circle. Therefore, all lectures will be translated simultaneously from Polish to English and from English to Polish.
